The AU-VE-CO PRODUCTS 13747 is a flat head blind rivet with a full nylon body and nylon mandrel, designed for applications where metal fasteners are not suitable or where electrical isolation, corrosion resistance, or lightweight construction is required. The rivet features a 1/2 inch head diameter and accepts a grip range of 1/16 to 11/64 inches, making it well-suited for thin-panel assemblies. The maximum hole diameter is 13/64 inches. The black color finish allows for a clean, low-visibility installation. Licensed tradespeople and field technicians in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing use these rivets when securing panels, covers, or brackets in corrosive or moisture-prone environments.
This rivet is used in light-duty fastening applications where all-nylon construction is preferred over aluminum or steel alternatives. Common install scenarios include securing electrical enclosure panels, HVAC cabinet covers, plastic ductwork accessories, and pool equipment housings. The flat head profile sits flush or near-flush against the work surface, reducing snag points in finished assemblies. Its lightweight nylon construction makes it appropriate for use in both residential and light commercial service work where non-conductive or non-metallic fasteners are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement blind rivet for light-duty fastening applications requiring a flat head, all-nylon construction in a 13/64 inch hole diameter.
Install with a standard blind rivet tool sized for the 13/64 inch hole diameter. Ensure the mating hole is clean and within the specified diameter before setting the rivet. Because the body and mandrel are nylon, avoid over-driving, which can shear or deform the head. No power shutoff is required for the fastener itself, but always follow appropriate lockout/tagout procedures when working inside energized enclosures or equipment panels.
