The AU-VE-CO PRODUCTS 13746 is a flat-head blind rivet with a full nylon body and nylon mandrel, designed for applications where metal fasteners would cause galvanic corrosion, electrical contact, or surface marring. The rivet accepts a 3/16-inch hole diameter and handles a grip range of 1/16 inch to 9/64 inch. The flat head profile sits flush or near-flush against the mating surface, making it suitable for panel assemblies and trim work. The all-nylon construction keeps the fastener lightweight and non-conductive. HVAC technicians, electricians, and panel fabricators commonly install this type of rivet when securing plastic or fiberglass components.
This rivet is used in light-duty fastening tasks where a non-metallic fastener is required. Typical applications include attaching plastic panels, wire management clips, insulation facings, and lightweight trim components in HVAC cabinets, electrical enclosures, and equipment housings. The flat head style distributes load across a wider bearing surface compared to dome-head variants. The nylon mandrel breaks cleanly at the set load, leaving a finished appearance on the blind side.
Designed as an OEM-style blind rivet for use in light-duty plastic and composite panel assemblies requiring a non-metallic fastener with a flat head profile and 3/16-inch hole diameter.
Install using a standard hand-operated or pneumatic blind rivet tool sized for 3/16-inch mandrel diameter. Ensure the mating hole is clean and free of burrs before insertion to avoid cracking the nylon body during setting. Do not over-drive; nylon rivets have a lower set force threshold than aluminum or steel equivalents. Always verify grip range matches the combined thickness of the materials being joined before installation.
