The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND R12-025 GR is a compact nitrogen gas spring designed to deliver consistent, controlled force in tooling, die, and fixture applications. The unit produces 29 lbf at initial contact and 40 lbf at full stroke, with a maximum stroke of 0.98 inches and an overall length of 3.62 inches. Pre-charged to 1,050 psi with nitrogen gas, it eliminates the need for external pneumatic connections. The green color coding aids quick identification during setup and maintenance. Licensed tool and die makers, mold builders, and fixture engineers are the typical installers.
This nitrogen gas spring is suited for stamping dies, plastic injection molds, and precision fixtures where consistent spring force and repeatable stroke are required. The compact 0.472-inch body diameter and 2.56-inch body length make it appropriate for tight die sections and close-tolerance tooling layouts. The M6 mounting hole thread size is a common standard in metric tooling designs, and the unit operates across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 176 degrees F, covering most industrial press and molding environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or original-equipment nitrogen gas spring for metric tooling, stamping dies, and injection mold assemblies requiring a 12 mm body diameter and 25 mm stroke.
Installation is typically performed by tool and die makers or mold technicians in a controlled shop environment. Before servicing or replacing a nitrogen gas spring, fully relieve all press and die pressure and ensure the unit is depressurized according to the manufacturer's recharging specification before disassembly. Use calibrated torque tools when threading into M6 mounting holes to avoid damaging the thread form. Do not attempt to drill, weld, or machine the body - nitrogen gas springs are sealed pressure vessels.
