The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND R12-015 YE is a compact nitrogen gas spring designed to deliver consistent, controlled force in die tooling, automation, and metal stamping applications. The unit measures 0.472 inches in body diameter and provides a maximum stroke of 0.59 inches. Initial force is 112 lbf and rises to 164 lbf at full stroke, with an initial charge pressure of 2,600 psi. The yellow color coding aids quick identification on the shop floor. At 0.07 pounds, this spring is lightweight and suited for confined tooling envelopes where space and repeatability are critical.
This nitrogen gas spring is used in progressive die sets, stamping presses, injection mold tooling, and light automation fixtures. Its compact 2.83-inch overall length and M6 mounting hole thread make it compatible with standard tooling plates and die components. Typical installers include tool-and-die makers and manufacturing engineers working on metal forming and plastic molding equipment. The unit is rated for operating temperatures from 0 degrees F to 176 degrees F, making it suitable for most indoor industrial production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit nitrogen gas spring for standard progressive die and stamping tooling assemblies using M6 mounting configurations and 12 mm body diameter springs.
Nitrogen gas springs must be installed by qualified tool-and-die or maintenance personnel with the press de-energized and the die set fully supported. Do not attempt to disassemble or re-charge the spring in the field without proper nitrogen charging equipment and training. Verify that the mounting hole thread engagement meets the tooling plate specifications before torquing fasteners. Inspect the rod sealing surface for contamination before each installation to prevent premature seal wear.
