The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND R12-007 YE is a compact nitrogen gas spring designed for precision force applications in tooling, dies, and automated equipment. It delivers 112 lbf initial spring force and 164 lbf at full stroke, with a maximum stroke of 0.28 inches and an overall length of 2.2 inches. Pre-charged to 2,600 psi with nitrogen gas, this spring provides consistent, repeatable force without the variability of mechanical coil springs. The yellow color coding aids quick identification during setup and maintenance. Licensed toolmakers, die setters, and mechanical assembly technicians are the typical installers.
This nitrogen gas spring is suited for light-duty stamping dies, injection mold tooling, jigs, and precision fixturing where a compact form factor is required. Its 0.472 inch body diameter and M6 mounting hole thread size allow integration into tight die sets and fixture plates. The operating temperature range of 0 degrees F to 176 degrees F makes it appropriate for standard industrial shop environments. Applications include blanking dies, forming dies, and component clamping fixtures in manufacturing settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for light-duty nitrogen gas spring applications requiring a 12 mm body diameter, 7 mm stroke, and M6 mounting thread in stamping dies, molds, and fixturing systems.
Nitrogen gas springs must be installed by qualified toolmakers or die technicians following the press or mold manufacturer's guidelines. Relieve all press or clamp force and de-energize the machine before removing or installing gas springs. Do not attempt to disassemble, drill, weld, or re-charge the spring body in the field, as the internal nitrogen charge presents a pressure hazard. Verify mounting hole thread engagement and alignment before cycling the tool.
