The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 206-832 is a heavy-duty die spring engineered for use in stamping dies, press tooling, and industrial machinery requiring consistent, high-load return force. Built to ISO 10243 standards, this Extra Strong duty-rated spring features a trapezoidal wire cross-section that delivers higher load capacity within a compact envelope compared to conventional round-wire springs. It has a free length of 203 mm (10 inches), a 50 mm hole diameter, and a 25 mm rod diameter, with a maximum deflection load of 9,537 Newtons over 51 mm of travel. The chromium alloy steel construction is color-coded yellow for quick identification of the Extra Strong duty rating on the shop floor. Toolmakers, die setters, and press maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This die spring is suited for high-cycle stamping and forming die applications in both production and job-shop environments. The Extra Strong rating makes it appropriate for tooling positions that require elevated spring force without increasing the overall die shut height. Applications include blanking dies, forming dies, stripping springs, and similar precision press tooling where reliable, repeatable force is critical over extended production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling component for stamping and forming dies conforming to ISO 10243 die spring standards with a 50 mm hole diameter and 25 mm rod diameter envelope.
Die springs should be installed by qualified toolmakers or press maintenance technicians familiar with die set safety procedures. Always de-energize and block the press slide before removing or installing springs in a die set. Do not compress this spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 51 mm, as exceeding travel-to-solid load can cause permanent set or premature fatigue failure. Inspect springs for visible cracking, corrosion, or permanent set at each scheduled die maintenance interval.
