The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 206-608 is a heavy-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and industrial tooling applications. Built from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, this spring delivers consistent force output and extended fatigue life under repeated compression cycles. It has a free length of 2 inches (51 mm) and a hole diameter of 32 mm, making it compatible with standard die set configurations. A maximum deflection of 13 mm and a spring rate of approximately 2015 N/mm allow engineers and toolmakers to select this part with precision. Licensed maintenance technicians and tooling professionals are the primary installers.
This die spring is suited for use in progressive dies, transfer dies, injection molds, and similar high-cycle press tooling where reliable, repeatable spring force is critical. The yellow color coding indicates its load classification within the ISO 10243 standard, which defines load categories across a common color-identification system. It is appropriate for both light manufacturing and production tooling environments where controlled deflection under load is required.
Designed as a standard-dimension replacement or new-installation die spring conforming to ISO 10243 specifications for 32 mm hole diameter and 16 mm rod diameter tooling applications.
Die springs are installed by toolmakers or press maintenance technicians during die build or rebuild operations. Before servicing any press or die set, de-energize and lock out the press per applicable machine-guarding and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Ensure the rod diameter and hole diameter of the die set match the spring specifications before installation. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection, as exceeding travel-to-solid load can cause premature set or failure.
