The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 206-514 is a heavy-duty die spring engineered for use in stamping dies, punch presses, and other high-cycle tooling applications. Rated Extra Strong and finished in yellow for quick duty-rating identification, this spring delivers a maximum deflection load of 2431.00 N over a maximum deflection of 22.00 mm. It features a trapezoidal wire shape, which provides higher load capacity per unit length compared to round wire designs. Made from chromium alloy steel for fatigue resistance under repeated cycling, the 206-514 is a direct fit for precision tooling environments where consistent spring force is critical. Installation is performed by toolmakers, die setters, and maintenance technicians.
This die spring is suited for installation in metal stamping dies, injection mold assemblies, and industrial press tooling where an Extra Strong duty rating and a 25.00 mm hole diameter with a 12.50 mm rod diameter are required. The 89.00 mm (3-1/2 inch) free length makes it appropriate for moderate-depth die pockets in both production and prototype tooling setups. The yellow color coding follows ISO 10243 duty-rating conventions, allowing fast visual identification on the shop floor.
Designed as an ISO 10243-compliant Extra Strong die spring for use in stamping dies, punch press tooling, and mold assemblies requiring a 25.00 mm hole diameter and 12.50 mm rod diameter.
Die springs should be installed by qualified toolmakers or die setters with the press or tooling machine fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the rod and pocket dimensions match the spring bore and outer diameter before seating. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 22.00 mm, as over-compression will reduce fatigue life and can cause premature failure. Inspect the spring seating surfaces for burrs or damage before installation.
