The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 206-405 is an extra-strong die spring engineered for high-load tooling and stamping applications. It features a 20.00 mm hole diameter, a 10.00 mm rod diameter, and a free length of 32.00 mm (1-1/4 inches). The trapezoidal wire shape maximizes load capacity within the spring envelope, delivering a maximum deflection load of 1792.00 N at 8.00 mm of travel to solid. Constructed from chromium alloy steel and color-coded yellow per ISO 10243 standards, this spring is designed for consistent, repeatable performance under demanding press and die conditions.
This die spring is suited for use in press tooling, punch and die sets, mold clamping assemblies, and other precision industrial applications where a compact, high-force spring element is required. The extra-strong duty rating makes it appropriate for heavy cycling operations in manufacturing environments. Installation is typically performed by tool and die makers or maintenance machinists during die build or refurbishment.
Designed as an ISO 10243-compliant replacement die spring for tooling assemblies specifying a 20.00 mm hole diameter, 10.00 mm rod diameter, and 32.00 mm free length in the extra-strong (yellow) duty class.
Die springs should be installed by qualified tool and die technicians or maintenance machinists. Always confirm the rod diameter and hole diameter clearances match the spring specifications before seating the spring in the die set. De-energize and lock out all press equipment before performing any die maintenance or spring replacement. Do not compress a die spring beyond its rated maximum deflection, as over-travel will damage the spring and reduce service life.
