The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 203-524 is a light-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and press tooling where consistent, repeatable spring force is required. Built from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire shape, this spring delivers a maximum deflection load of 191.99 pounds (854 N) across a maximum deflection of 61 mm. The green color coding identifies the light-duty load rating per ISO 10243. With a 25 mm hole diameter, a 12.5 mm rod diameter, and a free length of 152 mm, it installs directly onto standard die guide rods in conventional tooling setups. Toolmakers, die setters, and press technicians are the primary installers.
This spring is suited for light-load stamping and forming die applications in both production and prototype tooling environments. The ISO 10243 compliance makes it interchangeable with other manufacturers producing springs to the same standard. It is appropriate for use in metalworking presses, injection mold tooling, and similar industrial applications where controlled return force and compact envelope size are priorities. The travel to solid load is 61 mm, matching the maximum deflection value.
Conforms to ISO 10243 for light-duty die springs, making it dimensionally compatible with other ISO 10243-compliant die spring applications requiring a 25 mm hole diameter, 12.5 mm rod diameter, and 152 mm free length.
Die springs are installed and serviced by toolmakers or qualified press technicians. De-energize and lock out the press before removing or installing die components. Ensure the rod diameter and hole diameter of the spring seat match the specifications of this part before installation. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 61 mm, as exceeding travel-to-solid load will cause permanent damage to the spring.
