The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 203-204 is a heavy-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, press tooling, and industrial mold assemblies. Built from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire shape, it delivers consistent, predictable load performance across repeated compression cycles. The spring measures 1 inch (25.00 mm) in free length with a hole diameter of 12.50 mm and a rod diameter of 6.30 mm. It carries a maximum deflection load of 241.00 N and a spring rate of 102.21 N/mm. The green color coding indicates its load classification, allowing technicians and toolmakers to quickly identify and match springs by load range during die setup and maintenance.
This die spring is suited for use in metal stamping, injection mold tooling, punch and die assemblies, and similar industrial press applications. It is installed by toolmakers, die setters, and maintenance technicians working on mechanical and hydraulic press equipment. The compact 1-inch free length and 10.30 mm maximum deflection make it appropriate for applications with limited travel space where controlled return force is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit die spring for standard punch and die tooling applications requiring a 12.50 mm hole diameter, 6.30 mm rod diameter, and 1-inch free length per ISO 10243 specifications.
Die spring installation and replacement should be performed by qualified toolmakers or die maintenance technicians with press equipment powered down and all stored energy released before service. Inspect the mating hole and rod dimensions against the spring specifications before installation to confirm proper fit and prevent side loading. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 10.30 mm, as over-compression accelerates fatigue failure. Follow applicable shop safety standards and tooling manufacturer guidelines when servicing die assemblies.
