The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 203-107 is a green-coded die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and tooling fixtures where controlled, repeatable compression force is required. Built from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, this spring delivers a spring rate of 34.26 N/mm and a maximum deflection load of 108 newtons over an 18 mm travel-to-solid range. The 1-3/4 inch (44 mm) free length and green color coding follow ISO 10243 standards, making it straightforward to identify and replace in multi-spring tooling setups. Die makers, tool-and-die technicians, and press maintenance personnel are the typical installers.
This die spring fits applications in metal stamping, injection mold tooling, and precision fixture work where a light-load, high-cycle spring is needed. The 10 mm hole diameter and 5 mm rod diameter define the mounting envelope, so it is suited for smaller-bore die sets and modular tooling plates. The green color designation indicates a light-duty load category per ISO 10243, appropriate for stripper plates, guide pin returns, and similar low-force cycling applications in both production and prototype tooling environments.
Designed as an ISO 10243 compliant die spring for use in stamping dies, molds, and tooling fixtures requiring a 10 mm hole diameter and 5 mm rod diameter mounting configuration in the light-load (green) category.
Die springs are installed by tool-and-die technicians and press maintenance personnel. Always de-energize and lock out the press or machine before removing or replacing springs in any die or mold assembly. Ensure the spring bore and rod diameters match the pocket and guide pin dimensions before seating to prevent binding or off-axis loading. Never compress a die spring beyond its travel-to-solid length, as doing so will cause permanent damage and premature fatigue failure.
