The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 105-716 is a heavy-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, punch presses, and industrial tooling applications. It features a 1-1/2 inch hole diameter, a 3/4 inch rod diameter, and a 4 inch free length. The trapezoidal wire shape maximizes load capacity within a compact envelope, delivering a maximum deflection load of 1094.4 pounds and a spring rate of 912 pounds per inch. Constructed from chromium alloy steel, this spring is built to withstand the repetitive compressive loads common in metal forming and die operations. The gold color coding identifies the heavy-duty load rating at a glance, making selection and replacement straightforward in the field or on the shop floor.
This die spring is suited for industrial manufacturing environments where consistent force and reliable cycle life are required. Typical applications include injection molds, stamping dies, forming tools, and mechanical presses. The 3/4 inch rod diameter and 1-1/2 inch hole diameter make it compatible with standard die set configurations used in both OEM tooling builds and maintenance replacement scenarios. Tooling engineers, die makers, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for standard die sets requiring a heavy-duty spring with a 1-1/2 inch hole diameter, 3/4 inch rod diameter, and 4 inch free length.
Die springs are installed and serviced by tooling engineers, die makers, or qualified maintenance technicians. Before replacing a die spring, de-energize and lock out the press in accordance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the mating rod and hole dimensions against the spring specifications before installation to confirm proper fit and prevent side loading. Never compress a die spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 1.2 inches, as overcompression accelerates fatigue failure.
