The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 104-106 is a medium heavy-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and industrial press tooling. Built from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, it delivers consistent load performance across compression cycles. The spring features a 0.375-inch hole diameter, a 0.1875-inch rod diameter, and a 1.5-inch free length. It carries a maximum deflection load of 37.2 pounds at a maximum deflection of 0.56 inches, with a spring rate of 67 pounds per inch. The red color designation identifies it as a medium heavy-duty unit per industry standard die spring color coding. Licensed tool and die makers, machinists, and press maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This die spring is suited for use in punch and die assemblies, injection mold stripper plates, and general press tooling where controlled, repeatable spring force is required. Its compact 1.5-inch free length makes it a practical fit in confined die space applications. The chromium alloy steel construction supports repeated compression cycles under industrial press conditions. It is sold and packaged individually with a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed as a standard-profile die spring for use in stamping dies, molds, and press tooling assemblies requiring a 0.375-inch hole diameter and 0.1875-inch rod diameter with a 1.5-inch free length envelope.
Die springs should be installed by qualified tool and die makers or press maintenance technicians. Always ensure the mating rod diameter and bore diameter match the spring specifications before installation to prevent binding or buckling under load. De-energize and lock out all press equipment before servicing or replacing die springs. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 0.56 inches, as over-compression will reduce fatigue life and may cause premature failure.
