The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 103-430 is a heavy-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, press tooling, and industrial machinery where consistent, repeatable force is required. It features a 0.75-inch hole diameter, a 0.375-inch rod diameter, and a free length of 7.5 inches. The trapezoidal wire shape delivers a higher load capacity in a compact cross-section compared to round-wire designs. With a maximum deflection load of 142.5 pounds and a spring rate of 38 pounds per inch, this spring handles demanding cyclic compression applications. Manufactured from chromium alloy steel and color-coded blue to indicate its load classification, it meets ISO and ANAB standards for quality and dimensional consistency.
This die spring is suited for use in metal stamping and forming presses, injection mold tooling, and other industrial applications requiring controlled compression force. The blue color coding identifies it within the light-to-medium load range commonly used in progressive die sets and single-station punch presses. It is installed by toolmakers, die setters, and maintenance technicians working in manufacturing and fabrication environments. The 0.375-inch rod diameter allows it to be guided over a standard rod to prevent buckling under load.
Designed as a standard-profile die spring for use wherever a 0.75-inch hole diameter, 0.375-inch rod diameter, blue-class die spring is specified in press tooling or industrial machinery applications.
Die springs of this type are installed by qualified toolmakers or die-set technicians. Before replacing a die spring, de-energize and lock out the press following applicable machine safety procedures. The spring should be guided over a rod or inside a bore to prevent lateral buckling during compression. Never compress a die spring beyond its rated maximum deflection, as overtravel accelerates fatigue failure and can create a hazard.
