The ASHLAND WATER GROUP SPC-250-SRS is a plastic inline sump check valve designed for residential and light commercial sump pump discharge lines. It threads directly onto 1-1/2 inches male pipe thread pump discharge outlets and includes a 1-1/4 inches x 1-1/2 inches boot with a flexible connector on the discharge side. Constructed from durable thermoplastic, the valve prevents backflow from returning to the sump basin after the pump cycles off. Plumbers and sump pump installers use this valve as a standard component in below-grade drainage systems to protect pump longevity and maintain discharge line pressure.
This check valve is suited for residential sump pump installations where the discharge line exits the basin and runs to a floor drain, exterior outlet, or municipal connection. The flexible connector on the discharge side accommodates minor pipe misalignment and absorbs vibration from pump cycling. The thermoplastic body resists corrosion in wet, underground environments where metal fittings may degrade over time. It is a direct-connect solution for standard 1-1/2 inches pump discharge threads.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit check valve for sump pumps with 1-1/2 inches discharge thread outlets.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or experienced pump technician. Disconnect power to the sump pump before servicing the discharge line. Apply thread sealant tape to male pipe threads before making up connections, and ensure the flexible boot connector is fully seated to prevent leaks under pump pressure. Follow applicable local plumbing codes for sump discharge routing and check valve placement.
