The ASHLAND WATER GROUP PSL3050 is a 30/50 PSI low-pressure cut-off switch designed for automatic operation of jet and submersible well pump systems. When pressure drops to the cut-in point of 30 PSI, the switch signals the pump to start; when the system reaches 50 PSI, it shuts the pump off. The PSL3050 is intended for use with diaphragm pressure tanks or galvanized pressure tanks in residential and light commercial water supply systems. Licensed plumbers and well pump contractors are the typical installers for this type of control component.
This pressure switch fits into well pump pressure systems where automatic start-stop operation is required based on system pressure. It is suited for residential applications using either a diaphragm-style pressure tank or a traditional galvanized tank paired with a jet or submersible pump. The 30/50 PSI cut-in and cut-out range is one of the most common settings for residential well water systems, making this a standard replacement or new-installation component for plumbing contractors servicing private well systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pressure switch for residential jet pump and submersible well pump systems used in conjunction with diaphragm or galvanized pressure tanks.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified well pump contractor. Before servicing or replacing the pressure switch, shut off power to the pump at the circuit breaker and relieve system pressure at the tank. Wiring connections must comply with applicable NEC requirements for the voltage and amperage of the pump circuit. Do not overtighten the switch fitting onto the pressure tank or manifold port, as damage to the threaded connection can cause leaks.
