The ASHLAND WATER GROUP EPP33 is a 1/3 HP thermoplastic pedestal sump pump rated at 3600 gallons per hour. It is designed to remove groundwater and flooding from residential sumps, crawl spaces, and basements. The pedestal design places the motor above the water line, extending motor life in high-cycling applications. Built-in overload motor protection guards against burnout during extended run conditions. A top-mounted adjustable vertical float switch allows the activation level to be set without removing the pump from the pit. Plumbers and general contractors are the typical installers for this type of unit.
The EPP33 is suited for residential sump pit applications where a pedestal-style pump is preferred over a submersible unit. The thermoplastic base and column construction resist corrosion in wet environments. The vortex thermoplastic impeller handles solids up to 3/16 inches, reducing the risk of clogs from sediment, small debris, or particulate common in basement and crawl space sumps. This pump is well matched to new construction and replacement installations in standard residential sump pits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install pedestal sump pump for standard residential sump pit applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Disconnect power to the circuit before lowering the pump into the pit or adjusting the float switch. Verify the discharge pipe diameter and check valve orientation before final connection. Do not operate the pump dry, as this can damage the impeller and void protection features.
