The ASHCROFT T424TS040 100F is a single-setpoint, watertight temperature switch designed for industrial and commercial process control applications. It features a rigid stem construction and a DPDT (double-pole, double-throw) contact form, making it suitable for control circuits that require both normally open and normally closed switching in a single device. The switch covers a temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees F and carries multiple safety and compliance certifications including UL, CSA, CE, RoHS, ATEX, and IECEx. Licensed HVAC technicians, industrial instrumentation technicians, and mechanical contractors are the typical installers for this class of device.
This temperature switch is rated for use across a broad range of applications including boilers and burners, heating and air conditioning systems, hydraulic and lubrication systems, food processing equipment, chemical and petrochemical plants, degreasers and evaporators, marine equipment, offshore oil rigs, power plants, ground support equipment, and pulp and paper processing. The rigid stem design supports direct immersion into process fluid or pipe installations where a fixed probe orientation is required. Its watertight housing makes it appropriate for wet or wash-down environments.
Designed for use with boilers and burners, heating and air conditioning systems, hydraulic and lubrication systems, food processing equipment, chemical and petrochemical plants, degreasers and evaporators, marine equipment, offshore oil rigs, power plants, ground support equipment, and pulp and paper processing systems where a single-setpoint temperature switch with a rigid stem is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed instrumentation technician, mechanical contractor, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the NEC where electrical connections are involved. De-energize all connected circuits and isolate the process fluid before removing or installing the switch. The rigid stem requires correct immersion depth into the process medium to ensure accurate setpoint actuation. Verify contact form wiring is correct for the target control circuit before restoring power.
