The ASHCROFT 95486XLL is an analog pressure gauge designed for monitoring system pressure in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial process applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a 0 to 100 psi range, making it well suited for low- to mid-range pressure monitoring tasks. The case and all wetted parts are constructed from stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance in demanding environments. Accuracy is rated at 3-2-3 percent of scale, meaning the middle portion of the dial reads tighter than the ends. The gauge mounts from the lower port using a 0.25-inch threaded connection. It is a dry, non-liquid-filled gauge. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance personnel are the typical installers.
This gauge is appropriate for residential and light commercial installations where a compact, corrosion-resistant pressure gauge is required. Typical applications include pressure monitoring on water supply lines, boiler systems, air compressors, pneumatic controls, and hydronic heating circuits. The lower-mount configuration positions the dial face upward for easy inline reading when the gauge is installed on a vertical pipe or manifold. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified maintenance technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the IPC or IFGC as relevant. Shut off system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing any existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the male threads, taking care not to over-apply sealant into the gauge port orifice. Do not use pipe wrenches directly on the gauge body; use an appropriately sized wrench on the hex fitting only.
