The ASHCROFT 94578XLL is an analog industrial pressure gauge designed for measuring system pressure in a range of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and process applications. The gauge features a 2.5-inch dial with a 0 to 30 psi range and delivers 1% of scale accuracy, making it reliable for applications where precise pressure monitoring is required. The stainless steel case uses 304 and 316 grade material, the Bourdon tube is 316 stainless steel, and the wetted parts are bronze. Connection is via a 1/4-inch lower-mount MNPT fitting. This is a dry (non-liquid-filled) gauge. Licensed tradespeople including plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters commonly install this type of instrument during system commissioning and maintenance.
This gauge is suited for residential and light commercial installations where low-range pressure monitoring is needed. Typical use cases include monitoring supply water pressure, low-pressure gas systems, compressed air circuits, and hydronic heating loops. The lower-mount connection allows direct installation into a tee, valve, or manifold port. Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or pipefitter. Shut off system pressure and relieve all pressure from the line before removing or installing any gauge. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads in accordance with local code requirements; do not overtighten, as this can damage the brass socket or gauge body. Verify the gauge range is appropriate for the system operating pressure before placing the system back in service.
