The ASHCROFT 94479 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding commercial and industrial applications. The gauge features a 2.5-inch analog dial with a 0 to 300 psi range and delivers 1 percent of scale accuracy. The stainless steel case — 304 and 316 grade — pairs with a polycarbonate lens and a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube to resist corrosion and withstand harsh environments. The lower-mount, 1/4-inch NPT connection makes inline or manifold installation straightforward. Liquid fill dampens needle vibration and pulsation, protecting the internal mechanism and improving readability under fluctuating system pressures. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals are the typical installers.
This gauge is suited for residential and commercial HVAC systems, plumbing lines, compressed air systems, hydraulic circuits, and general industrial fluid or gas service where pressures stay within the 0 to 300 psi range. The lower-mount configuration positions the connection at the six-o-clock position on the gauge body, which is standard for pipe tee or manifold installations. The IP54 and IP65/NEMA 4 environmental ratings mean the gauge can be installed in wet or wash-down locations without concern for moisture intrusion into the case.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install industrial pressure gauge for any system with a standard 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount port operating within the 0 to 300 psi pressure range.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified industrial maintenance technician. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Use thread sealant or PTFE tape on the NPT threads and tighten to a snug, leak-free fit without over-torquing the brass or stainless fitting. Verify that the service media is compatible with 316 stainless steel and polycarbonate materials before placing the gauge in service.
