The ASHCROFT 92917 is an analog pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in industrial, mechanical, and HVAC applications. It features a 3-inch dial with a measurement range of 0 to 1000 psi and an accuracy rating of 0.5% of scale, making it suitable for demanding service environments. The gauge uses a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube and a 316 stainless steel case, providing corrosion resistance in harsh or wet conditions. A polycarbonate lens protects the dial face. Connection is made through a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount fitting, allowing direct inline installation from the bottom of the gauge body.
This gauge is appropriate for residential and commercial HVAC systems, plumbing pressure testing, boiler monitoring, compressed air systems, and general fluid or gas pressure measurement. The lower-mount NPT configuration suits panel mounting and pipe-tap installations where the gauge sits upright above the process connection. Technicians working with refrigerant systems, hydronic heating loops, or process piping will find the 3-inch dial readable at typical service distances. The CRN certification indicates suitability for use in Canadian pressure vessel and piping applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install pressure gauge for systems requiring a 3-inch dial, 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount gauge rated to 1000 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanical contractor. Shut off system pressure and bleed the line before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Apply thread sealant tape to the NPT threads per applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines and tighten to a snug fit using an adjustable wrench — do not over-tighten, as this can damage the gauge socket. Verify the system pressure range does not exceed the gauge maximum rating before returning the system to service.
