The ASHCROFT 83259 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding trade and industrial applications. It features a 3.5-inch analog dial with a range of 0 to 2000 psi and connects via a 1/4-inch NPT center back mount fitting. The stainless steel case is rated to IP54 and IP65/NEMA 4 standards, making it suitable for wet or wash-down environments. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of full scale. The Bourdon tube is 316 stainless steel, and the lens is polycarbonate. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance crews install this gauge on process lines, compressed air systems, hydraulic circuits, and water service equipment.
This gauge is suited for residential and commercial applications where a durable, corrosion-resistant pressure gauge is required. The liquid-filled design dampens needle vibration on pulsating systems such as pumps, compressors, and hydraulic power units. The center back mount configuration allows flush panel or direct pipe installation where front or bottom connections are not practical. It is commonly used in HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and light industrial process systems requiring reliable analog pressure indication up to 2000 psi.
Designed as an OEM-style industrial pressure gauge for systems requiring a 1/4-inch NPT center back mount connection and a 0 to 2000 psi range. Part of the ASHCROFT 1009 Series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified maintenance technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the system manufacturer's service documentation. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads per standard practice, and hand-tighten before applying a wrench to avoid over-torquing the fitting. Do not exceed the rated maximum pressure of 2000 psi on this gauge.
