The ASHCROFT 83189 is an analog pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in fluid and gas systems. It features a 3.5-inch dial face with a 0 to 15 psi range and delivers 1 percent of scale accuracy, making it suitable for low-pressure applications where reliable readings are required. The stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. The 1/4-inch NPT center back mount configuration allows direct inline installation into piping systems. This gauge is a standard tool-of-the-trade for HVAC technicians, plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial service professionals who need dependable analog pressure indication.
The ASHCROFT 83189 is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air lines, and process piping where pressures remain at or below 15 psi. The center back mount orientation suits panel-mounted or direct-pipe installations where the gauge face needs to be visible from the front. The dry, non-liquid-filled construction keeps the design straightforward for standard ambient temperature applications without the need for glycerin fill dampening.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation analog pressure gauge for 1/4-inch NPT center back mount applications in plumbing, HVAC hydronic, and light process piping systems operating at or below 15 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B40.100 guidelines for pressure gauge installation. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing gauge or making new connections. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the NPT threads before installation — do not overtighten, as stainless steel fittings can gall. Verify the system operating pressure does not exceed the gauge maximum range of 15 psi.
