The ASHCROFT 83171XLL is an industrial-grade analog pressure gauge designed for accurate system pressure monitoring in demanding trade and industrial applications. Featuring a 2.5-inch dial and a measurement range of 0 to 15 psi, this gauge delivers 1% of scale accuracy with a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube and bronze wetted parts. The 304/316 stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance in harsh environments. The polycarbonate lens protects the dial face, and the dry (no-fill) design makes it straightforward to handle and install. A licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or pipefitter is the typical installer for this type of gauge.
This gauge is suited for low-pressure monitoring in residential and light commercial HVAC, plumbing, and fluid system applications. The lower mount configuration with a 0.25-inch MNPT connection allows direct inline or panel installation where the process connection enters from below the gauge body. It is commonly used on water systems, compressed air lines, and other low-pressure fluid circuits where a rugged, corrosion-resistant gauge is required. The dry, non-liquid-filled design is appropriate for applications where the process fluid is clean and vibration levels are moderate.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation industrial pressure gauge for systems requiring a 0.25-inch MNPT lower-mount connection and a 0 to 15 psi measurement range. Part of the Ashcroft 1009 series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and standards. De-pressurize and isolate the system completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this one. Apply an appropriate thread sealant to the MNPT connection threads and do not over-tighten, as this can damage the gauge socket. Verify that process media is compatible with bronze wetted parts and stainless steel before placing the gauge in service.
