Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing gauge or fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads per the applicable plumbing or mechanical code, and tighten to the fitting manufacturer recommendation using a wrench on the gauge hex — do not apply torque through the case body. For high-vibration applications, consider a liquid-filled gauge to extend service life.
