The ASC Engineered Solutions E.BMSL is a 3/4-inch malleable iron street elbow designed for threaded pipe assemblies in gas, air, and water distribution systems. It features a male NPT (MNPT) inlet on one end and a female NPT (FNPT) outlet on the other, allowing it to thread directly into a fitting without requiring a nipple between connections. Rated at 150 lb, this black-finish elbow is domestically manufactured and built to handle the pressures common in residential and light commercial piping work. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this fitting as a standard directional change component in iron pipe systems.
The E.BMSL is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving gas distribution, compressed air lines, and water supply piping. The 3/4-inch nominal size makes it a common choice for branch lines and service drops where a compact 90-degree direction change is needed without adding pipe length. The street configuration reduces assembly steps by eliminating an extra nipple, which is useful in tight spaces or when fitting count matters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 3/4-inch NPT threaded malleable iron pipe systems rated at 150 lb.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Shut off and depressurize the system before disassembling any threaded connections. Apply listed pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly and tighten to a wrench-tight fit. Do not over-torque malleable iron fittings, as the material can crack under excessive force.
