The ASC ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS 766260681 is a carbon steel threadolet designed for branch outlet connections in high-pressure piping systems. This fitting creates a threaded branch takeoff from a run pipe, allowing smaller-diameter threaded pipe to intersect a larger main line. Rated at 3000 lb pressure, it is built for demanding industrial, commercial, and mechanical piping applications. The 14-inch by 6-inch by 3-inch configuration covers a significant size reduction from main run to branch outlet. Pipefitters and plumbers specify threadolets where a welded-and-threaded branch connection is required in place of a tee fitting.
This threadolet is used in carbon steel piping systems across commercial mechanical rooms, industrial process piping, and heavy-duty plumbing installations. It is suited for branch connections on schedule pipe in applications where threaded end connections are specified for the branch outlet. The 3000 lb pressure class makes it appropriate for high-pressure service lines where standard 2000 lb fittings are not adequate.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-supply threadolet for carbon steel threaded branch outlet applications in 3000 lb class piping systems.
Threadolets are installed by qualified pipefitters in accordance with applicable piping codes such as ASME B31.3 or B31.1. The run pipe must be properly marked, drilled or cut, and the threadolet must be fully saddle-welded to the run pipe before the threaded branch connection is made up. Depressurize and isolate the piping system completely before cutting into any live line. Do not substitute this fitting in service conditions exceeding its rated pressure class.
