The ASC Engineered Solutions 7005011840 is a 2-inch grooved butterfly valve with a lever handle, designed for flow control in piped systems. Built from ductile iron, this valve is suited for commercial and industrial piping applications where reliable shutoff and throttling are required. The grooved end connections allow for fast, tool-efficient installation using standard grooved couplings. At 10 pounds, the valve is robust enough for demanding service while remaining manageable during installation. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors working on hydronic systems, HVAC piping, or fire protection infrastructure will find this valve a straightforward drop-in solution for grooved piping assemblies.
This butterfly valve is used in commercial mechanical systems, including hydronic heating and cooling loops, chilled water distribution, and industrial process piping where grooved-end pipe joining is the specified method. The lever handle provides manual open and close operation, making it appropriate for accessible locations where frequent valve operation or visual position indication is needed. The 2-inch size fits standard 2-inch grooved pipe schedules. This valve previously carried the part number AN-7721-3 under the Gruvlok product line.
Designed as an OEM-style grooved butterfly valve replacement for 2-inch grooved piping systems. This part supersedes the previous Gruvlok part number AN-7721-3 and is a direct replacement for that valve in existing installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes, including local adoptions of the IPC or IFGC as relevant. Depressurize and drain the affected piping section before removing the existing valve or making new connections. Grooved couplings must be properly seated and torqued per the coupling manufacturer specifications before returning the line to service. Verify flow direction and handle orientation before completing the installation.
