The ASC ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS 300155207 is a FIG 368 eccentric reducer fitting designed to transition between two different pipe sizes in a threaded piping system. Manufactured from cast iron with a black oxide finish, it handles a 2 x 1/2 inch nominal pipe reduction using female national pipe thread (FNPT) connections on both ends. Rated to 175 psi at temperatures from -20 to 150 degrees F, this fitting meets SCH 40/STD schedule requirements. Its eccentric profile offsets the centerlines of the two ports, which is useful when maintaining a consistent bottom or top line of flow is critical. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in commercial and industrial piping systems.
This eccentric reducer is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical piping systems where a threaded cast iron fitting is specified. The eccentric design is commonly used in drain and process lines where trapped air or solids settling must be avoided by keeping one side of the pipe run level. At 1-15/16 inches in length, the fitting is compact enough for tight runs. It is domestically manufactured and listed to standards recognized across fire protection and plumbing applications.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded cast iron eccentric reducer for 2 x 1/2 inch nominal pipe systems operating at SCH 40/STD schedule. Alternative part number ICB1495 may be used to cross-reference this fitting.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters working on threaded cast iron piping systems. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly; do not overtighten, as cast iron is susceptible to cracking under excessive torque. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B31 piping standards where required.
