The ASC Engineered Solutions 300152469 is a cast iron eccentric reducer coupling designed to connect pipes of two different diameters in a threaded piping system. It transitions from a 3/4-inch female NPT inlet to a 1/2-inch female NPT outlet and carries a maximum operating pressure of 175 psi at 150 degrees F. The eccentric design offsets the centerlines of the two ports, which is useful in drain, waste, and vent applications or horizontal piping runs where maintaining a consistent bottom elevation is required. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in Schedule 40 pipe systems across residential and commercial applications.
This coupling is rated Class 125 and suited for low-pressure steam, water, and general plumbing service in Schedule 40 threaded pipe systems. The eccentric geometry makes it a preferred choice when avoiding air pockets or maintaining pipe alignment along a common bottom plane is a priority. It is manufactured in the United States and is TAA compliant, making it eligible for use on government and federally funded projects where domestic sourcing is required.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting for Schedule 40 cast iron and steel pipe systems requiring a 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch eccentric reduction with female NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.4 standards for cast iron threaded fittings. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus the number of turns specified by the sealant manufacturer. Avoid over-tightening, which can crack cast iron fittings.
