The ASC ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS 300150901 is a black cast iron concentric reducer designed to transition pipe diameter along a shared centerline. At 2 inches by 3/4 inch, it steps down flow path size while keeping both pipe ends aligned on the same axis. The concentric design simplifies straight-run installations where eccentric offset is not required. The black coating provides corrosion resistance suited to standard piping environments. Weighing 1.78 pounds, this domestically produced fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on gas, water, and general-purpose piping systems.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial piping applications where a reduction from 2-inch to 3/4-inch pipe is needed within a straight run. It is suited for threaded iron pipe systems common in gas distribution, hydronic heating, and industrial fluid handling. The concentric reducer is appropriate where vertical or horizontal straight-line alignment must be maintained through the reduction point.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for threaded cast iron pipe systems using standard NPT connections in the 2-inch by 3/4-inch size class.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements for the intended service. Shut off the supply line and relieve system pressure before removing any existing fitting or making new connections. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended service medium when making threaded connections. Do not over-tighten threaded cast iron fittings, as the material is not tolerant of excessive torque.
