The ARZEL ZONING TECHNOLOGY stk-er0005 is a 5-inch round pneumatic zoning damper designed for use in forced-air HVAC duct systems. Part of the EzySlide damper line, it uses low-pressure air or vacuum supplied by a medical-grade pump inside an Arzel Zoning control panel to open and close without motors or gears. This motorless, pneumatic actuation design reduces mechanical failure points and extends service life. The damper inserts directly into a metal duct through a field-cut hole and is secured with screws, making it a clean and fast installation for licensed HVAC technicians performing zoning retrofits or new construction zoning work.
The stk-er0005 is suited for residential and light commercial zoned forced-air systems where round metal ductwork of 5 inches is present. It connects to an Arzel Zoning control panel via pneumatic tubing, allowing the panel to modulate airflow to individual zones. The insertable design allows installation in existing ductwork without major duct modification, making it a practical choice for retrofit zoning projects. Sleeved versions of EzySlide dampers are available separately for non-metal duct applications.
Compatible with any Arzel Zoning panel. Designed for installation in 5-inch round metal ductwork. Sleeved EzySlide dampers are available separately for non-metal ductwork applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with zoning system wiring and pneumatic controls. Before installation, power down the zoning control panel and relieve any pressure in the pneumatic tubing. Cut a properly sized hole in the metal duct, insert the damper, and secure it with screws before connecting pneumatic tubing to the panel port. Follow the Arzel Zoning panel manufacturer instructions and all applicable local mechanical codes for duct modifications and zoning system installation.
