The ARO/INGERSOLL-RAND R37231-600 is a compact compressed air regulator designed to control downstream pressure in pneumatic systems. Built from aluminum, it handles a maximum supply pressure of 250 psi and delivers up to 113 CFM of airflow through a 3/8 inch NPT port. A built-in relief function vents excess pressure when the regulator is adjusted downward, protecting downstream components. The included pressure gauge gives technicians a direct visual read on regulated output. This regulator is part of the Series 1500 line and includes modular connection capability, allowing it to be grouped with compatible filter and lubricator units in a standard FRL assembly.
This regulator is suited for industrial and commercial pneumatic applications where space is limited and precise pressure control is required. Typical installations include compressed air distribution panels, point-of-use drops on production lines, and equipment-side pneumatic circuits. The compact body keeps the unit tight to the plumbing while still supporting high flow rates. With a minimum rated temperature of 23 degrees F, it is appropriate for most indoor and temperature-controlled shop environments. Licensed pipefitters, millwrights, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers in commercial settings, while plumbers and HVAC mechanics may encounter it in mechanical room applications.
Designed as a Series 1500 compact air regulator for use with compressed air systems. Modular connection ports allow integration with compatible Series 1500 filter and lubricator units in a modular FRL configuration.
Shut off and bleed the compressed air supply completely before installing or servicing this regulator. Apply thread sealant appropriate for compressed air service to all NPT connections and verify there are no leaks before returning the system to pressure. Do not exceed the 250 psi maximum supply pressure rating. Installation should follow applicable OSHA compressed air safety standards and the equipment manufacturer's recommended torque and assembly procedures for pneumatic fittings.
