The ARO/INGERSOLL-RAND R37231-100 is a compact inline compressed air regulator designed to control downstream air pressure in pneumatic systems. Built from aluminum with a 3/8 inch NPT port size, it handles a maximum supply pressure of 250 psi and delivers up to 113 CFM of airflow. The regulator includes a built-in relief function, a 1/8 inch gauge port thread, and modular connection capability, making it suitable for integration into modular FRL assemblies. It is part of the ARO 1500 Series and is rated for use with compressed air from 23 degrees F and above. Licensed pipefitters, pneumatic system technicians, and maintenance mechanics install this type of unit in production and process air systems.
The R37231-100 is suited for light industrial and general manufacturing applications where consistent regulated air pressure is required at the point of use. Its compact body keeps it practical in tight panel or inline installations. The modular connection design allows it to be paired with filters and lubricators in a standard FRL lineup. No pressure gauge is included, but the 1/8 inch gauge port is available for field-installed instrumentation. Typical applications include pneumatic tool supply lines, actuator control circuits, and air preparation stations on assembly equipment.
Designed as a compact OEM-style inline regulator for compressed air systems using 3/8 inch NPT connections. Part of the ARO 1500 Series, compatible with modular FRL components accepting standard 1500 Series connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pneumatic systems technician or licensed pipefitter. Depressurize and lock out the air supply line before removing any existing regulator or fitting this unit. Ensure flow direction matches system requirements and apply appropriate thread sealant to NPT connections per shop standards. Verify downstream pressure settings before returning the system to service.
