The ARMSTRONG 570200-476 is an angle-pattern Flo-Trex combination valve designed for installation on the discharge side of hydronic pumping equipment. This single device integrates four functions into one compact assembly: a shut-off valve, a non-slam check valve, a flow throttling valve, and a 90-degree elbow. Supplied with ANSI-125 flanged pump system connections, the 570200-476 eliminates the need for separate flange adapter kits. Weighing 34 pounds, it is sized for 2.5-inch piping and suited for commercial and industrial hydronic systems where mechanical room space is at a premium.
The 570200-476 is applied on pump discharge piping in hydronic heating and cooling systems, including chilled water, hot water, and condenser water loops. By combining check, shutoff, throttling, and directional-change functions in one body, it reduces the number of individual fittings required at each pump station. This makes it a practical choice for new construction and retrofit mechanical rooms where minimizing pipe runs and connection points is a priority. Licensed mechanical contractors and pipefitters handle installation as part of pump skid commissioning or pump replacement work.
Designed for installation on the discharge side of centrifugal pumping equipment with ANSI-125 flanged connections in 2.5-inch hydronic piping systems. Compatible with Armstrong pump stations and other ANSI-125 flanged pump configurations requiring combination valve protection.
Installation is performed by a licensed mechanical contractor or pipefitter in accordance with applicable ASME and local mechanical codes. Shut down and de-energize the pump, and isolate and depressurize the system before beginning work. The angle-pattern body replaces both a standard combination valve and a 90-degree elbow, so verify piping layout and support requirements before final assembly. Do not exceed the rated flange pressure class during system pressurization testing.
