The AP Armaflex formula includes a factory-applied flexible lap seal along the slit edge, creating a secure seam without the need for additional adhesive at that joint. With an R-value of 3.2 and extremely low water absorption of less than 0.20 percent by volume, this insulation resists condensation formation, inhibits mold growth, and reduces energy loss on both hot and cold piping systems. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers are the primary installers.
