The ARLINGTON INDUSTRIES LVD205 is a 2-gang low voltage mounting bracket sold in a 5-pack configuration. Low voltage mounting brackets are used to secure low voltage wiring devices — such as cable, telephone, and data faceplates — to drywall without requiring a traditional electrical box. This bracket style is a standard solution in residential and light commercial construction and retrofit work, installed by electricians, low voltage technicians, and structured wiring contractors. The LVD205 provides a stable mounting surface for decora-style low voltage faceplates in finished wall assemblies.
This bracket is suited for new construction and retrofit installations where low voltage cabling — including coaxial, Cat5e, Cat6, speaker wire, and similar conductors — needs a clean, code-compliant termination point. The 5-pack quantity makes it practical for multi-room wiring projects or service van stocking. It is not intended for line voltage applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit bracket for 2-gang low voltage drywall installations using decora-style faceplates.
Low voltage mounting brackets of this type are installed by electricians or low voltage technicians and do not require a permit in many jurisdictions, though local codes should always be verified. Ensure drywall is cut to the correct opening size before inserting the bracket. No line voltage is present at a low voltage mounting bracket, but all nearby line voltage circuits should still be identified before cutting into walls. Secure the bracket tabs firmly against the interior wall surface per the manufacturer instructions to prevent faceplate movement.
