The ARLINGTON 8620 is a 3/4 inch EMT to flexible conduit coupling designed to create a secure, code-compliant transition between rigid electrical metallic tubing and flexible conduit in commercial and residential wiring applications. This fitting connects 3/4 inch EMT on one end to 3/4 inch flexible conduit on the other, allowing electricians to make clean, reliable transitions where rigid conduit runs meet flexible whips at motors, equipment connections, or panel terminations. At 0.136 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight fitting suited for tight spaces and high-volume rough-in work.
This coupling is used in standard electrical rough-in and equipment hookup scenarios where a transition from rigid EMT to flexible conduit is required. Typical applications include motor connections, HVAC equipment whips, junction points at panels, and other locations where vibration isolation or directional flexibility is needed at the end of a rigid conduit run. It is installed by licensed electricians in both light commercial and residential settings.
Designed as an OEM-style transition fitting for use with standard 3/4 inch EMT and 3/4 inch flexible conduit in residential and light commercial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any conduit connections. Ensure the EMT end is deburred and the flexible conduit is cut cleanly before seating in the coupling. Verify all conduit connections are mechanically secure and maintain continuous ground continuity through the conduit system.
