The ARCAIR 24124003C is a heavy-duty stick welding electrode designed for high-amperage arc gouging and welding applications. At 3/4 inch in diameter and 12 inches in length, this electrode is built for demanding industrial work where consistent arc performance and electrode integrity under sustained heat are critical. It operates at 1000 amps with DCEN (direct current electrode negative) polarity, making it suitable for carbon arc gouging processes used to remove metal, prepare welds, and back-gouge joints. Licensed welders and certified fabricators are the primary users of this electrode in shop and field environments.
This electrode is used in heavy industrial fabrication, structural steel work, shipbuilding, pipeline maintenance, and heavy equipment repair. Its large diameter and high amperage rating place it firmly in the professional and industrial tier of arc gouging operations. It is not intended for light-duty or hobbyist welding. Typical installations involve high-output welding power sources capable of sustaining 1000 amps at the required duty cycle. The electrode is sold individually as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement electrode for heavy-duty arc gouging torches and holders capable of accepting a 3/4 inch diameter carbon electrode at 1000 amp operating levels.
This electrode is installed and operated by certified welders following applicable AWS and workplace safety standards. Always power down and fully de-energize the welding power source before inserting or removing the electrode from the holder. Ensure the gouging torch and cable assembly are rated for 1000 amp continuous service before use. Proper eye protection, ventilation, and PPE are required during all arc gouging operations.
