The ARCAIR 24104003 is a copper-clad jointed stick welding electrode designed for DC arc gouging and cutting applications. Measuring 5/8 inches in diameter and 17 inches in length, this Jetrod Copperclad electrode delivers consistent arc performance in demanding industrial and construction welding environments. The copper cladding promotes efficient current transfer and reduces electrode wear during operation. Licensed welders, fabricators, and ironworkers rely on this electrode for carbon arc gouging work where precise metal removal and reliable arc initiation are required. Each package contains 100 electrodes.
This electrode is suited for use in heavy industrial fabrication, structural steel work, foundry repair, and maintenance welding operations where DC arc gouging is the preferred metal removal method. The jointed construction allows for continuous operation without frequent electrode changes, improving workflow efficiency in production environments. It is commonly specified for plate preparation, weld joint back-gouging, and defect removal on carbon and low-alloy steels.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement electrode compatible with DC arc gouging torch systems that accept 5/8 inch diameter jointed copperclad electrodes.
Arc gouging electrodes of this type are installed and operated by qualified welders following applicable AWS and site-specific safety procedures. Always power down and discharge the gouging torch before loading or changing electrodes. Ensure the torch holder jaws are rated for the electrode diameter in use and that the DC power source is set to the correct polarity and amperage range for the electrode size. Eye protection, hearing protection, and appropriate PPE must be worn during arc gouging operations.
