The ARC ABRASIVES 71-10828FF Predator Flap Disc is a Type 27 abrasive grinding disc engineered for fast, aggressive material removal on metal surfaces. Measuring 4.5 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole, this disc runs at a maximum of 13,300 RPM and carries a 50-grit abrasive surface suited for heavy stock removal and weld blending. Sold in boxes of 10, the Predator line is built for fabricators, welders, and metalworkers who need high cut rates without sacrificing disc life. The flat Type 27 profile keeps the grinding face parallel to the workpiece for consistent contact across flat and moderately contoured surfaces.
This flap disc is well suited for grinding mild steel, high-alloy steel, nickel alloy, and stainless steel. Typical applications include weld removal, surface preparation, deburring, and edge blending in fabrication shops, structural steel work, and maintenance environments. The 50-grit designation targets coarse stock removal where surface finish is secondary to cut speed. It is commonly used with 4.5-inch angle grinders found on production floors and job sites alike.
Designed for use with 4.5-inch angle grinders accepting a 7/8-inch arbor. Suitable for grinding mild steel, high-alloy steel, nickel alloy, and stainless steel applications.
Flap discs are installed and serviced by welders, fabricators, and metalworkers using standard 4.5-inch angle grinders. Confirm the grinder's rated RPM meets or exceeds the disc's 13,300 RPM maximum before mounting. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and ensure the arbor nut is properly secured before operating. Always wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection when grinding.
