The AQUECOIL hhu-mi-3 is a hydronic heating unit designed to work alongside a compatible air handler and a hot water source to deliver residential space heating. It extracts heat energy from hot water and uses the air handler to distribute warm air throughout the conditioned space. The cabinet is constructed from rust-proof aluminum with a baked enamel finish and is fully insulated with high-R rigid foam. Design Certified and Listed to meet UL and CSA Standards, and tested to comply with ANSI/NSF 61-2012, the hhu-mi-3 is installed by HVAC technicians as a direct alternative to a furnace or heat pump for space heating applications.

The hhu-mi-3 is intended for residential space heating in installations where a hot water source such as a gas-fired water heater or boiler is already present or planned. It mounts directly onto the air handler's discharge or return side and supports both horizontal and vertical configurations. This makes it well suited for retrofit and new-construction applications where conventional furnace or heat pump heating is not preferred or practical. The unit is sized specifically for Mitsubishi large air handlers.

Compatibility

Installation Notes
