The AQUALINE PPN-10-60TOE is a Schedule 80 PVC toe nipple designed for use in pressurized piping systems where a threaded male connection is needed at one end and a plain end is required at the other. The fitting measures 1 inch in diameter and 6 inches in length, with a plain end on one side and a male iron pipe thread (MIPT) on the other. Schedule 80 PVC construction provides greater wall thickness and pressure tolerance compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for demanding plumbing, pool, and chemical-handling applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this nipple where a short, rigid threaded connection stub is needed in a PVC line.
This toe nipple is commonly used in residential and commercial plumbing, pool and spa equipment installations, and industrial piping systems where PVC is appropriate for the fluid and operating conditions. The plain end allows for solvent-cement socket joining to standard Schedule 80 PVC fittings, while the MIPT end threads directly into female-threaded valves, pumps, filters, or other equipment. It is well suited for chemical feed lines, pool equipment manifolds, and general water service piping.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-service fitting compatible with 1 inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using solvent-cement plain-end and MIPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and applicable IPC guidelines. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any threaded or cemented fittings. Use appropriate PVC solvent cement and primer on the plain end per manufacturer instructions, and apply thread sealant rated for PVC on the MIPT connection. Do not over-torque the threaded connection, as PVC threads are susceptible to cracking under excessive force.
