The AQUALINE GPN-125-30 is a Schedule 40 galvanized steel nipple used to connect threaded pipe sections in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping systems. Measuring 1-1/4 inches in diameter and 3 inches in length, it features hot-dip galvanized steel construction that resists corrosion in wet and exposed environments. The threaded ends conform to standard NPT dimensions, allowing direct connection to fittings, valves, and pipe sections of the same size. Plumbers and pipefitters install this nipple where a short, rigid threaded connection is required between two female-threaded components.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, water supply lines, gas distribution piping, and mechanical room installations. Its Schedule 40 wall thickness provides the pressure rating and structural integrity needed for typical service line and distribution applications. It is commonly used in hydronic heating systems, fire suppression rough-in, and general utility piping where galvanized steel is the specified material.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-service nipple for 1-1/4 inch NPT threaded pipe systems using Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe and fittings.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC and IFGC codes for the intended service. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound to the male threads before assembly, and tighten using a pipe wrench to achieve a leak-free joint. Shut off and depressurize the line before removing or replacing any nipple in an existing system. Do not over-tighten, as this can crack fittings or distort threads.
