The APPLETON SLB-50 is a service entrance pulling elbow designed for use in electrical service raceway installations where the raceway changes direction. Constructed from epoxy powder coated die-cast aluminum, the SLB-50 provides durable, corrosion-resistant access to the interior of a service raceway for wire pulling operations. The threaded installation method connects at 1/2 inch trade size. Overall dimensions are 3.24 inches in length, 1.22 inches in width, and 1.42 inches in height. The unit ships with a cover and a fiber gasket included, making it ready for immediate installation without additional hardware sourcing.
The SLB-50 is used on electrical service raceways in residential and light commercial applications where conductors must be routed through a directional change. The threaded fitting method is standard for service entrance conduit work, and the included gasket provides a secure seal at the access point. Electricians installing or replacing service entrance equipment will find this fitting applicable to standard 1/2 inch threaded service raceway configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 1/2 inch threaded service entrance raceways in residential and light commercial electrical systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the service entrance before beginning any work in or around the service raceway. Thread the elbow securely into the raceway using appropriate conduit wrenches, and ensure the fiber gasket is properly seated before securing the cover. Do not over-tighten threaded fittings on die-cast aluminum bodies.
