The APPLETON ACV-938 is a 3/8-inch, 90-degree flexible conduit connector designed for securing flexible metallic conduit (FMC) to an electrical enclosure or junction box. The two-screw clamping design holds the conduit firmly in place without crushing the armor, maintaining a reliable mechanical connection in finished installations. At 0.11 pounds, it is lightweight and easy to handle during overhead or tight-space work. Electricians use this fitting where a right-angle entry is required, reducing stress on the conduit run and keeping wiring neat inside panels and enclosures.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where 3/8-inch FMC terminates at a box or enclosure knockout. The 90-degree angle makes it particularly useful in equipment connections, motor terminations, and fixture drops where a straight connector would create an awkward bend in the conduit. It fits standard 3/8-inch trade-size flexible conduit and installs into a compatible knockout opening.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 3/8-inch trade-size flexible metallic conduit in standard electrical enclosures and junction boxes with appropriately sized knockout openings.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for flexible conduit terminations. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before opening any enclosure. Insert the connector through the knockout, secure the locknut, then seat the conduit into the fitting and tighten both clamping screws firmly and evenly. Do not overtighten the clamping screws to the point of distorting the conduit armor.
