The APPLETON 31-050T is a 1/2-inch insulated compression conduit connector designed for secure, code-compliant termination of conduit to electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and panelboards. Compression-style connectors deliver a strong mechanical bond without set screws, reducing the chance of loosening over time. The insulated throat protects wire insulation at the point of entry, a feature especially important when pulling conductors through tight bends. Electricians install this fitting in both new construction and retrofit applications where a clean, reliable conduit-to-box connection is required.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where 1/2-inch conduit terminations are needed. It is appropriate for use in dry or protected indoor locations. The compression design makes it a common choice when inspectors or project specs call for a secure, tool-tightened connection rather than a set-screw type fitting. Electrical contractors and apprentices alike stock this connector as a standard part of conduit rough-in work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit connector for 1/2-inch conduit termination applications at electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and panelboards.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before opening any enclosure. Compress the connector body fully onto the conduit end before threading into the knockout to ensure a secure mechanical and electrical bond. Do not over-tighten the locknut, as this can crack the insulated throat insert.
