The APOLLO VALVES 6SC20E01LFA is a flanged cast iron swing check valve engineered for full-flow, reverse-flow protection in commercial and industrial plumbing, heating, and building service piping systems. Built to the 920F-LFA series design, this valve carries a 250 lb pressure class and a cold water pressure (CWP) rating of 500 psi. PTFE/Graphite softgoods provide reliable sealing across a wide service temperature range of -20 to 406 degrees F. The epoxy powder-coated cast iron body resists corrosion in demanding wet environments. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve where prevention of backflow is critical to system integrity. It meets MSS SP-71 standards and holds NSF low-lead certification.
The 6SC20E01LFA is suited for water service in residential and commercial building piping, HVAC hydronic systems, and industrial process lines where large-diameter check valve performance is required. The 8-inch nominal flanged connection accommodates high-volume flow up to 2,278 gallons per minute, making it appropriate for main distribution lines and mechanical room service applications. The full-port design minimizes pressure drop across the valve body during normal forward flow.
Designed as an OEM-style flanged swing check valve for 8-inch nominal piping systems. Compliant with MSS SP-71 and NSF low-lead requirements for plumbing, heating, and building service piping installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B31.9 building services piping standards. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before removing the existing valve or installing this unit. Flanged connections must be aligned properly with the appropriate ANSI flange rating before bolting to avoid gasket damage or leakage. Confirm correct flow direction against the arrow cast on the valve body before final assembly.
